Simply toss your broccoli florets in a mixture of shallots, garlic, and olive oil before roasting them in the oven for about 25 minutes or so. Ingredients

    • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
    • 1 tsp minced shallot
    • 2 garlic cloves, minced
    • 4 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
    • salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl place the broccoli florets, minced shallot, garlic and olive oil.
  3. Toss to coat.
  4. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
  5. Transfer to a baking sheet.
  6. Roast in preheat oven for 25 minutes or until lightly brown and tender.
  7. Remove from the oven.
  8. Drizzle with lemon juice and toss to coat.
  9. Serve immediately.
