By Jess

Everyone loves caramel—there’s no denying it. And if you don’t, you’ll certainly start loving it when you try these paleo caramel recipes, made without dairy, grains, or refined sugar!

Sweet, chewy, sweet, what’s not to love about caramel? When I can’t go another day without a sweet treat I use one of these caramel recipes and I reset the clock.

1. Caramel Chocolate Chip Paleo Blondies
I love brownies, but I love blondies even more. They’re like double thick, fudgy chocolate chip cookies. This version, of course, is made even better with a paleo coconut cream and maple caramel, almond flour, and deliciously rich cashew butter.

3. Salted Caramel Chocolates
These chocolates are perfect for gifts or parties, because they’re sweet and yummy treats, but they’re actually healthy for you and have only a little bit of honey and maple syrup to sweeten. The mean ingredient is cashew butter or tahini, which when sweetened, gives a caramel-like flavor.

4. Maple Whiskey Caramel Panna Cotta
Panna Cotta is a great paleo dessert even when it’s made plain and simple with just coconut milk and a sweetener. But add coconut sugar, maple syrup, maple whiskey, and toppings? Then you’re just talking about pure caramel whiskey heaven in paleo dessert form.

5. Dark Chocolate Macadamia Nut Magic Bars
Any dessert that’s gooey and has chocolate is a dessert for me. This one is one of my favorites, with several layers including a cinnamony crust made from shredded coconut, almond flour, and coconut butter, a coconut milk caramel sweetened with palm sugar, and dark chocolate chunks and toasted coconut on top.
