1. Kauai Acai Smoothie Breakfast Bowls
They went and put the smoothie in a bowl for this one because a glass just couldn’t contain it. They’re using organic acai berry puree for this, providing you with a ton of antioxidants and making it so you can get the benefits of acai without having to use some gimmicky product.

Joining it is mango and macadamia nuts, which add even more nutrition and healthy fat. You’ll want to eat this with a spoon because it comes out so thick and rich, and the mango is simply cubed not blended and the nuts are simply chopped.

2. Creamy Dreamy Strawberry Breakfast Smoothie
Even though this smoothie is creamy and dreamy it doesn’t include any cream at all, and no dairy either. The main ingredients are strawberries of course, as well as orange and banana. How do they get the creamy taste and texture? They’re using vanilla almond milk which they provide the recipe for so you don’t have to wonder if that store bought almond milk is really Paleo or not. The end result is that you really do get a creamy smoothie that tastes great for breakfast because its main flavor is strawberry and orange.

3. Blueberry Watermelon Mint Smoothie
Here’s a sweet morning treat that will fuel you up and send you on your way. It’s loaded with antioxidants from both the blueberry and watermelon, as well as the mint. The mint gives it a coolness that is quite refreshing in the morning, and this is a smoothie you can drink after you brush your teeth and it will help you maintain that minty freshness. You’ll be helping to hydrate yourself as well thanks to the watermelon, and this is important after you’ve just slept through the night with no water.

4. Avocado, Lime and Coconut Smoothie
This smoothie has a lot going on, but is still very easy to make. Always look for smoothies that are easy to prepare if you’re not much of a morning person. The avocado provides healthy fat and fiber, both of which will help you feel full long into your morning. The lime and coconut are a classic flavor combination, and work well in smoothie form. Between the coconut milk and avocado this is going to be one smooth smoothie with a lot of flavor. There’s even almond butter for even more healthy fat, some protein, and more fiber.

5. Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Smoothie
When you want the taste of rhubarb pie but don’t want to go through the process of making one, this smoothie is a good compromise. You’ll be getting the nutritional benefits of strawberries and rhubarb, without any worries about the crust or refined sugars. The trick they’ve used here is to freeze both the strawberries and rhubarb so that they simply need to be blended up with water and honey and voila you have a smoothie. It takes away the need for ice and makes this even easier to blend up.

6. Paleo Strawberry Coconut Smoothie
Sometimes it’s best to just keep things simple and that’s what is at the heart of this smoothie recipe. They have half of the ingredients in the title, and the rest are all Paleo as well. You add a banana and some vanilla extract to the strawberries and use coconut milk to provide the coconut flavor. That’s all that’s required, and it’s not hard to see why this smoothie turns out so great. It is made with simple, wholesome ingredients that will boost you through your morning better than a big heavy breakfast.

Paleo Fig Shake

7. Paleo Fig Shake
Figs should make it into your Paleo meal plan every now and then, and this fig shake is a great way to introduce yourself to fresh figs if you’ve never tried them before. They aren’t too hard to figure out, and once you do you are adding a new fruit to the list of possible foods you can eat, which is the name of the game on Paleo. All too many Paleo followers focus on the list of foods they can’t eat, which leads to feelings of deprivation, and creates doubt that this is something they can follow long term.

Easter Smoothie & Kiwi Berries

8. Easter Smoothie & Kiwi Berries
This is billed as an Easter smoothie, but it can work on any morning, not just Easter morning. It has so many good things going for it that you’ll be loading up on nutrients, which is the perfect way to start the day. Some of the bigger draws for this smoothie are the melon, kiwi, and vanilla protein powder that it includes. You’ll not only be getting vitamins from the fruit, but the protein will help sustain you and curb your appetite until lunch. This makes it a meal replacement smoothie that you can rely on as often as you need it.

When you think green smoothie you may not think of having it for breakfast, but more as a pick-me-up throughout the day. But this smoothie is particularly geared as subbing in for your breakfast, and it is fully qualified to do so. The green color comes from baby spinach and avocado, so already you’re getting off on the right foot.
